On April 8th, 2010 we began the 20+ hour flight for the hunt of our lifetime.
When we arrived, the terrain, brush and CACTUS made us think we were still at home in Arizona.   Our Cactuflage was a perfect match for South Africa! 
During our 10 days on the Dark Continent we harvested several trophy animals.  Garry taking the new #8 SCI Record Book Waterbuck weighing over 1,000 pounds with 32" horns.
The most intense and memorable hunt was for Cape Buffalo with my crossbow. 
The rogue bull was not in a good mood.  He had been in a fight, kicked out of the herd and charged the minute he saw us.  At 8 meters I took the only shot I had, going through his ear, past his shoulder and into one lung. 
After much tracking, another charge and several rifle shots, I was able to place the final bolt into him that gave me my 40+" Cape Buffalo!
